1. Who we are
Casa Sarmoni (casa-sarmoni.party) is a private, invitation-only website run by the owners of the apartment at Via Lazio 13, 35030 Sarmeola di Rubano (PD), Italy. It lets our friends and family book a visit (an aperitivo, a dinner, an F1 race, a movie night) or an overnight stay, and choose a bed. It is not a commercial service and nothing is sold through it.
The data controller is the owners of Casa Sarmoni. For any privacy question or request, write to distefano.bartolomeo.rg@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
a) From your Google account, when you sign in with Google. We request only the basic sign-in permissions (openid, email, profile) and receive:
- your name (and first/last name),
- your email address,
- the link to your Google profile picture.
We do not receive your Google password and we do not access your Gmail, Contacts, Drive or Calendar.
b) Information you enter when booking:
- for events: the occasion, the date, your expected arrival and departure time, the number of people;
- for stays: arrival and departure dates, the number of guests, the names of the people coming with you, and the bed chosen for each guest and each night;
- any notes you write, and your language (Italian or English).
c) The guest list. The hosts store the email addresses of the people allowed to sign in, with an optional note (e.g. a name).
d) Technical data:
- a session cookie (
cs_session, signed, valid for 30 days) that keeps you signed in. It contains your name, email and profile picture link; - a temporary cookie (
cs_oauth_state, 10 minutes) used only to protect the Google sign-in process; - your language preference, saved in your browser's local storage;
- standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address, time and requested page), used for security and troubleshooting.
We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers. The “How to find us” page embeds a Google Maps map, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
3. How we use your data
- to check that you are on the guest list and let you sign in;
- to create, show, change and cancel your bookings, and to keep beds from being booked twice;
- to send you (and the hosts) Google Calendar invitations and cancellations for your bookings;
- to let the hosts organise your visit.
We do not sell, rent or share your data for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
4. Google Calendar
Guests are never asked for access to their Google Calendar. Only the hosts' own Google account grants this website the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.app.created permission. It is used only to create a dedicated secondary calendar
called “Casa Sarmoni” in the hosts' account and to create and delete booking events on that calendar. When you book, an event is
created there with you and the hosts as attendees, and Google emails you the invitation; when a booking is cancelled, the event is
deleted and Google emails the cancellation. The event contains your name, email, the booking details and any notes. This permission
does not let the website read or change any other calendar.
Casa Sarmoni's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Who can see your data
- The hosts see your bookings, the guest names and your notes in the backoffice.
- Other signed-in guests, when they choose beds, can see the name of the guest who has taken a bed for a given night and the name of the person who booked it. They don't see your email or your other booking details.
- Google processes sign-in and the calendar invitations (Google Privacy Policy).
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website and its database (Cloudflare Privacy Policy). Data may be processed outside the EU under the safeguards described in that policy.
We share nothing else with anyone, unless required by law.
6. Legal basis
We process your data to handle the booking you ask us for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in organising visits to our home securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account details and bookings (including cancelled ones, kept as a record) for as long as you are on the guest list and for as long as needed to organise visits. You can ask us at any time to delete your data: we will do so within 30 days. Your session cookie expires after 30 days or when you log out.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy of it. Write to distefano.bartolomeo.rg@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
You can remove this website's access to your Google account at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
9. Security
The website uses HTTPS only. Sign-in is limited to the guest list, session cookies are signed and not readable by scripts, and the hosts' Google Calendar credentials are stored server-side and never sent to your browser.
10. Children
The website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.

- per gli eventi: l'occasione, la data, l'orario previsto di arrivo e partenza, il numero di persone;
- per i pernottamenti: date di arrivo e partenza, numero di ospiti, nomi delle persone che vengono con te e il letto scelto per ogni ospite e ogni notte;
- eventuali note e la lingua scelta (italiano o inglese).
c) La lista ospiti.
cs_oauth_state, 10 minuti) usato solo per proteggere l'accesso con Google; - la lingua preferita, salvata nella memoria locale del browser;
3. Come usiamo i tuoi dati
- per verificare che tu sia nella lista ospiti e farti accedere;
- per creare, mostrare, modificare e annullare le tue prenotazioni ed evitare che un letto sia prenotato due volte;
- per inviare a te (e ai padroni di casa) gli inviti e le cancellazioni di Google Calendar;
8. I tuoi diritti
